Everything you need to teach number. In one place.

When I built this membership, I made one decision that felt important: it had to cost less than a coffee a week. Not as a gimmick. Because I know that the families who need this most are often already stretching to give their children something better than the standard approach. I didn’t want price to be the reason a child misses out.

What you get inside is not a collection of videos. It is a complete teaching system — session by session, question by question — so you never have to guess whether you are doing it right. You are there with your child. That is what matters. The membership makes sure you know exactly what to do next.

MONTHLY ACCESS

Start when you are ready. The membership grows as the platform grows — new articles, prompts, videos, and guides added regularly. Everything released goes to subscribers first. Cancel anytime.

  • Articles for every Pocket Books title — teaching notes, worked examples, and how to go deeper with each concept
  • MicroWriting prompts for the comics — rich questions that open genuine mathematical conversation, not yes/no answers or number drills
  • Videos for the flashcard series — showing exactly how to use them and where they sit in the full curriculum

For Parents — What This Membership Actually Does

You already know something isn’t working. Your child can count, can recite their times tables, can produce answers — and still looks blank when you ask them to explain what a number actually means. That isn’t a learning problem. It’s a teaching problem. And it’s not your fault — it’s what happens when mathematics is taught as a set of procedures to memorise rather than a system to understand.

That’s what this membership is here to fix.

The membership gives you the teaching support to use the Linear Abacus curriculum properly — articles that go deeper into every Pocket Books title, MicroWriting prompts that open genuine mathematical conversation with your child, videos that show exactly how to use the flashcards, and extension guides for the comics. You don’t need a mathematics background. You need to be curious alongside your child. The resources make that possible.

Whether your child is filling in gaps from years of confusion, or ready to push further than the standard curriculum goes — the program meets them where they are. By the end, they won’t just know their number facts. They’ll be able to explain why they work. That’s a different kind of confidence. It doesn’t disappear under pressure.

Less than $3.50 a week. Everything you need to start — and everything that gets added as the platform grows.

Annual Access — Founding Member Price

Two months free. And something more than the saving. The platform is being built right now. The first 100 families who subscribe annually lock in $100 a year for life. I set this price because I want it inside as many homes as possible. I know what it costs a child when mathematics stays confusing. This is my way of making sure that is not a barrier.

  • Everything in the monthly membership
  • Founding member price locked for life — as long as you remain a member
  • First access to every new resource on the day it is released
  • Your feedback shapes what gets built next
  • A direct line to what gets built next — annual members can submit questions and requests. This is not a suggestion box. It is how the curriculum grows.

Resources are releasing progressively. Articles for the Pocket Books series are available now. Founding members are notified on every release day.

What it means to be a founding member

One hundred families. That is the number I settled on. Not arbitrarily — because I know that the platform I am building needs the right kind of people inside it first. People who are willing to join something that is still growing. Who will tell me honestly what is missing. Whose children will shape what gets built next.

The price is $100 a year, and it is locked for life. That means as long as you remain a member, that is what you pay — regardless of what the membership costs when it is complete, when the library is full, when the community has grown into something I can only imagine right now.

What you are joining is not a finished product. It is a living one. New session guides, investigations, assessments, and resources are added regularly — and founding members receive them first, on the day they are released. Your feedback tells me what comes next. That is not a courtesy. It is how I am building this.

The mathematics is serious. The price is intentional. The community that forms around both of those things — that is what I am really building.

When the hundredth family joins, the founding member price closes. There is no timer. There is just the number.

For Teachers — What This Membership Gives You

You became a teacher because you wanted to make things click for children. But mathematics is the subject where clicking is hardest to engineer — and where, if it doesn’t happen in the early years, the gap just keeps widening. You’ve seen it. A student who doesn’t understand what numbers actually are will paper over it with memorised procedures for years, until the procedures stop working and there’s nothing underneath.

This membership gives you the methodology and the materials to change that — without adding to your planning load.

The instructional videos show you exactly how to implement the Linear Abacus approach in a classroom context. Not the theory. The questions to ask. The physical sequence. The moments to watch for. They were developed from Dr. Andrew Waywood’s research into how mathematical understanding actually builds — and translated into classroom practice that works whether you’re teaching a Year 2 class, an intervention group, or a Year 7 student who has arrived without the foundations they need.

The colour-coded descriptive arithmetic system gives your students a shared language for talking about number. That matters more than it sounds. When students can articulate why a calculation works — not just produce an answer — you spend less time on correction and more time on genuine extension. And when you have a common language across your class, the conversations students have with each other start doing some of the teaching.

This isn’t a curriculum to layer on top of what you’re already doing. It’s a lens that sharpens everything you’re already teaching.

What’s included for teachers:

The videos cover the full progression from the earliest number concepts through to algebra readiness. The coaching sessions walk through implementation specifically — how to introduce the abacus, how to structure the Talk-Do-Write sequence in a classroom, how to use the assessments to identify exactly where a student’s understanding has stalled. New resources are added as they are built. You are notified on release day.

Nine weeks in, your students won’t just be calculating differently. They’ll be talking about mathematics differently. That’s when you know it has taken hold.

Why I priced it this way — and what I’m building with you

I have spent years watching children struggle with mathematics — not because they aren’t capable, but because no one has ever shown them what numbers actually are. The Linear Abacus exists to fix that. The membership exists to make sure you can use it properly, even if you have never taught mathematics before.

The founding member price — $100 a year, locked for life — is real. It is not a marketing trick with a countdown timer. The platform is still being built, and the families who join now are not getting a finished product at a discount. They are getting a growing resource that I add to every time a new investigation, assessment, or session guide is complete. In return, I ask for something: tell me what you need. Your feedback shapes what gets built next.

When I say community, I mean it literally. Inside the membership you are not alone with a video library. You are part of a group of parents who are all doing the same thing — sitting with their child, working through the same questions, noticing the same moments of understanding. That shared experience matters. It is where the learning deepens, for the children and for us.

This is a small company. I built it because I genuinely believe children deserve to understand mathematics — not just survive it. Every family who joins makes it possible to keep building. Thank you for being part of that.  — Genovieve
